  • We've provided the convenience of an online RSVP option for you. Additionally, a physical RSVP card will come in the mail with your formal invitation. You are free to use either method!

    Early RSVPs are greatly appreciated if you already have your plans in place. The RSVP deadline is TBD and will be stated on the formal invitation.

  • Typically, the weather in August is in the high 70’s - low 80’s. The reception will be on the water, so you can expect an ocean breeze. Our back yard is protected in the inner harbor, so wind usually stays pretty light. When the sun sets, temperatures still hover in the 70's.

  • Thursday is casual attire.

    Friday Garden Cocktail Party is cocktail attire.

    Saturday Ceremony & Reception is Black Tie.

  • Thursday night's Welcome Beach Braai will be on a paved patio along the beach, so any shoes will work! This event is casual and you're welcome to take your shoes off at any point. We'll have some beach games set up on the sand as well!

    Friday night's party will be on a mix of pavement and grass. The dance floor area is paved, and the area near the bar is on grass. Ladies, we recommend wearing grass-friendly shoes, though we will also have plastic heel protectors.

    Saturday's reception is a mix of grass and wood flooring. Cocktail hour will be hosted on grass, and the reception will be in a floored tent. Ladies, we recommend wearing grass-friendly shoes, though we will also have plastic heel protectors.

  • Thursday Welcome Beach Braai: Transportation will be provided to and from Piney Point Beach Club from both hotels. There is plenty of parking at the beach.

    Friday Party: There won't be any transportation provided on Friday because it is a 5-10 minute walk from both hotels. Ubers are also available, though sometimes they are a bit of a wait. For those driving, street parking is available around the venue. The only restrictions are no parking on County Road (the road where the entrance / half circle at the front of the house is. Here is a link to parking instructions with valid street parking highlighted.

    Saturday Ceremony & Reception: Transportation will be provided from the hotels to the church, from the church to the reception, and from the reception to the hotels (the After Party is at the restaurant at the New Bedford Harbor Hotel). There will also be a shuttle between the after New Bedford Harbor Hotel and the Fairfield Inn & Suites, so that all guests staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites can easily attend the after party.

    The church has plenty or parking and there will be valet parking at the reception.

    No, it doesn’t matter which hotel you choose! Roundtrip transportation is available from all hotels on Thursday and Saturday.

    The After Party takes place at 222 Union, located in the lobby of the New Bedford Harbor Hotel. However, the Fairfield Inn & Suites is a few blocks away and the Hampton Inn is a short drive away. A shuttle will be available between all hotels throughout the After Party!

  • Here is a rundown on each venue:

    Thursday’s Welcome Beach Braai is at the beach but the party will take place on a covered patio.

    Friday’s Post Toast Party will be majority tented, with part of the party uncovered (in the event of rain, everything will be tented).

    Saturday’s Ceremony will be inside at a church. The cocktail hour will be uncovered (covered in the event of rain), and the Reception will be under a tent.

    Long story short, the summer in Marion is too perfect to be inside!

  • The Rehearsal Dinner will be an intimate gathering for just Bridal Party and immediate family and this will be invite only. However, we encourage all guests join us for the party following the rehearsal dinner!

  • Thursday Welcome Beach Braai: Yes! There will be classic summer cookout food & beverages.

    Friday Post Toast Party: There will be passed hor dourves and desserts, so we encourage guests to grab a bite before the party. There are a few great restaurants close to the venue:

    Cisco Brewers Kitchen & Bar: You can walk in and enjoy food trucks in the beer garden, or you can make a reservation at the restaurant.

    The Black Whale: One of our favorite sit-down restaurants! We recommend making a reservation.

    The Whale’s Tail: This is a casual seafood shack right on the water. Perfect if you want to enjoy a drink & lobster roll at a picnic table (but they have other food options too, including non-seafood).

  • Due to capacity limitations, we can only accommodate children in the wedding party. However, if you are local, we warmly welcome kids to join Thursday's Welcome Beach Braai, where we have a bit more flexibility. Kindly let us know in advance so that we can make arrangements. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Unfortunately, due to capacity restrains, we cannot accommodate a plus one for everyone. All guests & plus ones ill be addressed on your invitation and listed on your online RSVP profile. We appreciate your understanding!

  • You can change your online RSVP here before the deadline, and it’s also helpful to send us a text or email so that we can keep track of changes.

    If it is after our RSVP deadline, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make changes. Thank you for your understanding!
